dipping into writing
In 2019, I began thinking of myself as a writer. However, I hadn't actually written anything of note (except for a few decades of teaching programs, parent letters, and school newsletter articles). The time had come. I began dipping my toe into writing for pleasure.
I began entering the Furious Fiction competitions run by the Australian Writers Centre, and started submitting my work elsewhere.
My default position is to apologise for my work, but working in education has taught me the importance of a 'growth mindset'. I know I'm not a professional writer. Yet. And that's OK. I'm being brave and giving it a go.
If you're a little bit curious and want to check out the work of an emerging writer, you're invited to spend some time to explore and connect. Feedback is always welcome.
